A Different Kind of Number

I think dieters sometimes focus so much on the scale that they forget there is more to good health than just losing weight. I went to the doctor today and had the lowest blood pressure I think I've ever had as an adult. 110/72.

WOW!!

Now of course a lot of that is because of medication, but I can't help but think the different way I've been eating since joining WW has had an impact. I've been on medication for quite awhile, but my BP has never been that low.

Anyway, I was quite thrilled. As was the doc.

I did get weighed too, of course, and only had a disappointing 3-lb loss. But I'm not going to record that as official since it wasn't on the WW scales.

Anyway, I'll be back to the weight loss numbers next week, but felt my BP number was worth celebrating!

'Oh, God. Is the world ending? I have to research a paper on Bosnia for tomorrow, but if the world's ending, I'm not gonna bother.'
